Acer Palmatum - Sangokaku - Coral Bark Japanese Maple
This tree provides a spectacle all year round. The Sangokaku or Coral Bark Maple really stands out in the winter. This deciduous, upright tree has a coral red bark is apparent and looks beautiful all year round, even when the leaves have fallen. During its youth this tree exhibits pinkish-green leaves before turning to gorgeous shades of orange and red in the spring/summer. Eventual size, approximately, could 8m(26ft) tall by 4m(12ft) across.
Planting Instructions
Can be planted in most soils, preferably a well-drained area. Ideally should be planted in a partially shaded area. The area where you plant the tree should be very wet and ensure you keep the tree well-watered.
