Arthur Turner is a mid-season cooking apple which has large yellow-green fruit and a tough skin. Flesh is creamy white, coarse textured, somewhat dry and acidic.
Reliable heavy cropper. The blossom in May is particularly attractive.
Harvest in September.
Planting Instructions
Arthur Turner is in pollination group 3 and is self-fertile so it needs a suitable pollination partner nearby (ideally within 1/2 mile radius).
Apple trees should be spaced according to their rootstock, M26 (semi-dwarf) rootstock requires approximately 3m(10ft) between trees.
Soak the ground where you are planting the tree prior to planting and ensure you keep it well-watered.
