Newton Wonder is a well known cooking apple. The fruit is large and bright scarlet with light russet dots. Creamy white flesh, tinged green and rather coarse-textured. Taste is nutty, sweet and aromatic. A strong flavour when fully ripened.
Harvest during October and November.
Planting Instructions
This variety is a good pollinator for other varieties.
Apple trees should be spaced according to their rootstock, MM106 is a vigorous grower and requires approximately 4m(12ft) between trees.
Soak the ground where you are planting the tree prior to planting and ensure you keep it well-watered.
