This beautiful small rounded tree, a rosy-red flowering form of our British native Hawthorn or May, is smothered in fragrant blossom in spring, then laden in autumn with bunches of bright red "haws" that make excellent food for hungry birds. The foliage also usually colours richly towards the end of the year. A very tough and hardy tree. Eventual size after ten years will be 5m(16ft) by 4m(12ft)
Planting Instructions
Suitable to most well-drained soils. Can be planted in full sun or partially shaded areas. When planting ensure the soil is soaked and keep the plant well-watered afterwards.
