A vigorous medium sized deciduous tree of compact habit with scarlet-orange winter stems. Small, yellow catkins appear in the spring alongside new mid-green, narrow foliage.
Eventual approximate size, after ten years, will be 6m(20ft) by 4m(12ft)
Planting Instructions
Suitable for damp places especially. Position, for best results, to highlight winter sun on stems. Hard pruning in early spring is recommended if tree is grown to highlight its winter stem colour.
Soak the planting area prior to planting and keep well-watered afterwards to allow the tree to become established.
